These are some common reasons that a
password isn't working:
- Your caps lock is on. Passwords are
case-sensitive, so check the caps lock key
to make sure that it's not on.
- Auto-complete adds extra space. If
you're using the auto-complete feature of
Chrome, it may be that Chrome is adding a
space to the end of the password when it
auto-completes (this is a common issue
with Chrome). Spaces are still considered
to be legitimate password characters, so
that extra space can cause your password
to fail. Try entering your password again
rather than letting Chrome auto-complete
it.
- Too many failed password attempts. If you've attempted to enter your
password unsuccessfully ten or more times
in a 5-minute period, the system will
temporarily lock your account. (The error
message on the screen will indicate that
your account has been locked.) Even a
password reset will not work in this case.
You will need to wait an hour before
entering your new password, or contact
customer support to help.
- Password reset email in spam
folder. If you've used the reset
password link and haven't received the
reset email, check your spam folder to see
if the email was moved there.
